In Case of Medical Emergencies
Covenant House/CHAI Apartment and staff are not medical responders.
Tenants are instructed to pull their Pull Cord in the case of a Medical
Emergency.
Please remind your loved one of this policy.
If you think your loved one has a Medical Emergency, please call 911.
After Hour Calls:
After hours calls should be for Building Emergencies or to
check on a tenant only. To contact our Night Manager after the
Management office has closed, dial the office phone number, 314-432-1610 and
listen carefully to the menu options:
WHEN YOU HEAR THESE
WORDS: “If your call is an emergency press “2” and leave a message”;
press the “2” on your phone and you will hear the word,
“EMERGENCY.” There will, then,
be a pause followed by the words, “EMERGENCY MAIL
BOX.” You will be instructed to leave a
message.
Please leave a brief message including your name (if not the tenant), the name
and apartment number and problem you are calling about. Your message will be
paged out to the Night Manager and he will respond by either returning your call
and or proceeding to the apartment location.
Please remember that the Night Manager will prioritize all calls he receives.
If the problem is something that can wait until the next workday, he will inform
you of that and make sure either our Maintenance or Social Service Departments
address it in a timely fashion.
